Admission notification for  B.Sc (Food Processing Technology)-2011

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the 4-year (8-semester) Bachelor of Pharmacy, 4-year (8-semeter) Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and 3-year (6-semester) Bachelor of Science in Food Processing Technology programmes 2011 at Mesra

Eligibility: Maximum age limit is 21 years as on 01 October, 2011 (26 years for SC/ST)

For B.Sc (Food Processing Technology): Pass in class 12th with minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate in best 5 subjects, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology

Hostel facility not available for students of B.Sc (Food Processing Technology)

Selection procedure for all programmes: Based on marks obtained in class 12/qualifying examination, computed as in eligibility criteria, and counseling for eligible candidates to be held at Mesra

Candidates who have appeared for class 12/qualifying examination in 2011 can also apply

They must send copy of mark sheet showing they have obtained required marks in qualifying examination before due date

How to apply: UG Information Brochure B of 2011 and form will be available from Mesra and extension centres (addresses on website) on payment of Rs 800/- in person, and Rs 900/- by post, by crossed demand draft in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi

Postal requests must include letter and 2 slips of paper (10 x 10 cm) with name, address and tele number, write UG B-2011 on envelope

Last date for receipt of completed forms for all programmes at Mesra:  18 June 2011
